The finest leather to enjoy the color

Tanner: Fujitoyo Kogyo [Sumida - Japan]

Among crocodiles, Nile crocodile is highly praised all over the world for its well-balanced scale pattern and high-quality leather.
Due to the small size of each animal, the number of items that can be taken is extremely small.
When it comes to long wallets, only one item can be made from one crocodile, and its beauty will take your breath away.

The ``Colored Crocodile'' series uses the highly rare Nile crocodile in a coloring unique to the Brooklyn Museum.

The tanning process, which takes a long time, and the finishing process, which requires skill, bring out the unevenness of the pattern vividly, creating depth in the color, and the difference in aging of each unevenness gives the color depth.

The brightly colored crocodile dyed with Brooklyn Museum's unique coloring has a matte finish so that you can enjoy aging. The characteristic of this finish is that the more you use it, the deeper the color changes, creating a natural luster.

Only the black color is finished with glazing (a process that gives it a glossy feel) to express the strength and presence typical of crocodiles. You can enjoy the beautiful luster of the first step, and the more you use it, the more the luster will subside, so you can enjoy the matte texture of the second step.

There are only about 20 tanneries in the world that have crocodile tanning technology. There are 6 companies in Japan. If you compare it with the tens of thousands of cowhide tanners around the world, you can see how rare it is.

The reason there are so few crocodile tanners around the world is because it takes a lot of effort and time.
The number of transactions per year is limited for animal protection reasons, and the farming process itself takes many years, but there are major differences in the tanning process.
It took several weeks to get the hard scales covering the body ready for processing.
It takes three months to complete the entire process for one crocodile, even if the work is done non-stop.
It's a daunting process that involves checking and fine-tuning various conditions such as temperature, humidity, and the condition of the hide on a daily basis.
This is the highest quality leather produced by the tanner's overwhelming knowledge and the passion of the craftsmen.

HOW TO CARE

We recommend Coronil 1909 Supreme Cream Deluxe.
First, remove invisible dust and dirt by brushing, then apply a small amount of cream onto a soft cloth and apply it evenly to the leather product. After application, brush to remove excess cream and add shine. To finish, wipe dry with leather gloves. At this time, please be careful not to wipe too hard as this may strip the oil from the leather.
The frequency of maintenance depends on the condition, but please do it once a year.
