Inspired design product planning influenced by "De Chirico's metaphysical paintings"In order to meet the request for ``a masterpiece made in Japan with the theme of fusion of art and fashion,'' we expressed the unique colors and atmosphere of De Chirico's work through the colors of the leather and stitching, even within a simple design that can be used on a daily basis. We have produced carefully selected leather items that are carefully finished one by one.
We use high quality leather "Yamato"
We use Yamato, an all-made high-quality leather made in Japan, which BROOKLYN MUSEUM spent about two years developing with the aim of creating an environmentally friendly leather. The most distinctive feature is that we use Wagyu beef that has been carefully raised by craftsmen and the blessings of Japan's four seasons.
Yamato's feature is the beauty of aging. A clear yet deep aging effect is achieved. The colors gradually become deeper and darker as you wear them for years, giving you a casual feel of the world of art. A masterpiece that gets better the more you use it. While recalling De Chirico's worldview, we aim to create colors that enhance the impression of a person even in a business setting.
Clear colors and textures that can only be expressed through genuine dyeing
Yamato is tanned and dyed using a processing method called ``honzome'' to preserve the texture of the Wagyu beef. The process of adding a small amount of dye to the raw leather, letting it dry in the sun, then adding a small amount of dye again and drying it in the sun is repeated over and over again, allowing the dye to soak into the core of the leather. Each piece is painstakingly hand-dyed and finished with great care and craftsmanship.
Smoothness achieved with great care
