BROOKLYN MUSEUM
Ninna-ji Temple, with over 1200 years of history, has endured repeated wars and fires, symbolizing an indomitable spirit of restoration. Furthermore, with imperial family members serving as head priests, court culture took root, exuding an air of dignified elegance. A collaboration has been realized between this historic Ninna-ji Temple, which symbolizes both the "strength" and "gentleness" that are part of the Japanese spirit, and BROOKLYN MUSEUM.
Under the theme of "Touch the History - With the Flow of Time," a total of six product types have been created, merging the leather goods of BROOKLYN MUSEUM, which deepen in value over time, with the over 1200 years of history and tradition of Ninna-ji Temple. We are releasing covers for "omamori" (amulets) and "goshuin" (temple seals) that symbolize the elegant and gentle "Yamato-gokoro" (Japanese spirit) that Japanese people have cherished since ancient times, as well as sacoches and offering coin cases ideal for temple visits. By incorporating the thoughts and traditions that Japanese people have carefully nurtured over time into these products, we are passing on Japanese culture.
