BROOKLYN MUSEUM
Ninna-ji Temple, boasting a history of over 1200 years, has overcome numerous wars and fires. Its history of reconstruction symbolizes an indomitable spirit, while the deep roots of court culture from imperial family members serving as head priests imbue it with a refined elegance. This collaboration between the traditional and historic Ninna-ji Temple, symbolizing the "strength" and "softness" that is the spirit of the Japanese people, and BROOKLYN MUSEUM has been realized.
With the theme "Touch the History - With the Flow of Time", a total of six items are available, combining BROOKLYN MUSEUM's leather products, which deepen in value over time, with the over 1200 years of history and tradition of Ninna-ji Temple. We will be releasing "Omamori" (charms) and "Goshuin" (temple or shrine stamp book) covers that symbolize the elegant and gentle "Yamato-gokoro" (Japanese spirit) that the Japanese people have cherished since ancient times, as well as sacoches and offering cases perfect for temple visits. We are carrying on Japanese culture by integrating the thoughts and traditions that the Japanese people have carefully nurtured into these products.
